Glass bead making, known as LAMPWORK is an ancient art  practiced
by  artisians who are continually amazed at the beads they design!.  The
creation of a glass bead is accomplished by twirling molten glass
around a steel rod ( a mandrel).  We choose to work with borosilicate, a
hard glass (Pyrex) for strength and durability in our lampwork beads.
We are open to re-working any lampwork bead design to fit any
design ideas you may have.  Change in price depends on requested
changes.  We can lengthen or shorten any design as needed.
All our lampwork jewelry is one of kind and can not be duplicated.  Wearing lampwork
jewelry is wearing a true piece of artwork.
We take pride in our custom lampwork creations. Our creations
include combinations of lampwork beads, wire wrapping, Swarvoski
crystals, Thai Hill Tribe Silver or Sterling Silver and pewter. Each
design will include a listing of components used in the creation.
We are dedicated to making unique, original jewelry designs using
our own lampwork creations combine with quality gems, crystals,
silver and pewter. Many of our designs are complimented with wire
wrapping we create in our studios in Ft. Myers Florida and Lexington
North Carolina.
Our torches are powered by a mixture of oxygen and propane producing an intense flame
to melt the glass.  After the bead has been "designed" it is placed in a kiln to start the
annealing process.  The intensity of the flame determines the final color of the bead.  It is
always exciting to take the bead out of the kiln to view our creations.
